Course Leaders are the backbone of any U3A group. They generously share their time, interests and expertise with members eager to learn something new or deepen an existing passion. Courses may run for a year or just a few weeks, offering a stimulating mix of topics and activities. Full-day and half-day workshops are also offered from time to time.
Naturaliste U3A is fortunate to have leaders who present a wide variety of courses, from environmental issues, art, languages and writing to Mah Jongg, self‑discovery, Book Club, walk and talk and tap dancing. Many courses spark ongoing interest, with participants continuing to meet informally even after the formal sessions end.
Developing new courses and supporting new course leaders is very important to us. Course leaders don't require any specific skills. They only need to have a topic or a hobby they would like to share with other like-minded seniors. If this is you, please talk to one of the committee.
Naturaliste University of the Third Age Inc., established in 2009, serves the Busselton–Dunsborough community.
We are a “university” in the broadest sense, a community of people who enjoy learning, sharing ideas, and taking part in courses and activities together. No tests, no exams.
Our members are in their “third age”: generally retired or semi‑retired, with time to explore new interests, share their knowledge, connect with others, and to continue their journey of lifelong learning.
We warmly welcome new members to our vibrant, diverse community of learners in the prime of life. Everyone brings their own skills, interests and experiences, enriching our group for all.
We are committed to providing members with opportunities to interact through learning and teaching, without distinction between those who learn and those who teach. Along with keeping our minds active, we provide a social outlet to connect with other seniors. To develop and share friendships, prevent isolation and provide a sense of belonging.
Published twice a year, The Crier keeps members informed and connected with everything happening at Naturaliste U3A. It includes updates on courses, upcoming Topical Talks, special events and other activities, along with stories and contributions from members. Whether you’re looking for something new to try or simply catching up on recent happenings, The Crier is a great way to stay in touch with our vibrant U3A community.
